Removing Permanent Marker From Skin

Permanent Markers have many uses, and they are a great long-term option if you want to write on a glossy surface without smudging your text. However, occasionally the ink can get on your skin. This article details how to remove permanent marker stains from your skin.
Avoid panic
Do not panic! Permanent markers are non-toxic so there is no concern of poison entering your body. However, avoid eating, drinking and touching your eyes before you properly clean off the marker.
Scrub
Scrub the area with sea salt and water to exfoliate the top layers of your skin.
Remove the stain
Pump lotion or makeup remover onto a cotton ball. Rub gently on the mark. Use another cotton ball to wipe off the excess. There are also several other products you can put on a cotton ball to remove the ink. You can try butter, sunscreen lotion, olive oil, nail polish remover, hairspray, rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer and tea tree oil. If the stain is stubborn and the ink is still visible on your hand, you can use a toothbrush and toothpaste to scrub the mark.
Remove residue
Wash your hands thoroughly with an anti-bacterial soap. You want to remove the residue of whatever you used to remove the mark. Use lukewarm water and wash for at least thirty seconds, getting a good lather before you rinse. This also helps protect you from bacteria that can make you sick.
It is no big deal if you accidentally get permanent marker on your hand, and with these simple steps, you can have perfect skin in no time!
