Permanent Markers

I drew on a shirt with permanent markers. How do I prevent the colors from smudging and running over time?

So I designed a t-shirt using permanent markers, and I want to keep the shirt for a long time. But within a day I noticed that even though I haven't washed it yet, the colors are smearing everywhere. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Thanks!

1. Try soaking in white vinegar and water. I use this method to set the colors in my stitching projects.
2. DOnt wear it frame it.........
3. along with the vinegar and cold water put some salt in.
