How can we get Magic marker out of leather car seats?
My friend had a black magic marker in her back pocket and the top had fallen off when she sat in her moms new car. So as she moved it marked up the leather seats. Is there anyway to get it off without discoloring or ruining the seats?

- Go out and kill a cow so you will have fresh leather to work with. Then skin it and boil the hide to get all the hair off. Carefully prepare and condition the leather until it matches the car seat. Take the stitches out of the damaged leather sections and remove those pieces use them to cut exact pieces of the leather you have prepared. Then sew the new leather into place.
- Lightly wipe the area with warm water, then, with a q-tip, apply a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol to the stain. If the color of the leather stays the same but the stain seems to loosen up, lightly clean it with the alcohol and a damp cloth. Also, a tiny, and I mean tiny, amount of saddle soap after the alcohol treatment should make the stain disappear if the alcohol alone doesn't do it. Good Luck!
- mark the rest of the seats with a similar pattern and voilah! it will match
- Don't use the alcohol as it will ruin the area. Try using what they call 'Saddle Soap' or try Linseed Oil (like the kids use on their baseball mits), let it sit, and rub hard. I don't think that you will get it out completely, but it will fade significantly. Good luck.

- Try a small area to ck for color damage first but you could try nail polish remover.
