Permanent Markers

How can I restore dried permanent markers?

My markers have not been used up but have dried up.

1. Go to Wal Mart and buy some new ones.
2. vinegar in the end of the pen should start it working again
3. I think if you buy some basic acetone- found in the beauty isle (nail stuff) and soak them in that for a bit. I've done it before with my kid's markers and it seemed to worked ok
4. Buy some more. The pen is not permanent only the mark it makes is.
5. make sure tha caps are on securely and put them in a bowl of hot steamy water for at least thirty minutes.
6. Wet the tip thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, recap and stand so tip is down overnight. They will be like new.
