Can you paint a whiteboard a different color? Or would it come off?

The desk i want has a whiteboard/magnetic board built in. I was going to paint the desk brown, and having a whiteboard being white with a brown desk would bug me, so i wanted to paint the whiteboard brown and just use it as a magnetic board so it would blend in better. Is their a special paint to do that? is it possible?

2. that would totaly mess it up just keep it white or get a different desk!....geez!
3. you cant paint a white board, you wouldn't be able to write on it and erase it of. get a new desk if it bothers you so much.
