Why is it that the smell of gasoline or permanent markers appeal to people?
Please explain a possible scientific explination. I used to like the smell a great amount, but now, not as much. It still is, though, somehow attractive, and I don't know why. It must be because humans have a common nasal receptor that enable a connection with the chemicals in gasoline, right? I have no idea. There must be an actual reason why, under the laws of science.

- Im so glad your question is asked because you care? Ever heard about "A cheap high". Some people don't have the strength to resist! Im thinking that the word Addicted might apply to this poor decision,on their behalf! Sorry,I was just thinking?
- Good question. I don't know the answer only that I like to sneak a whiff of those things myself.
- Yes. These, and a few other organic molecules, resemble the chemicals that ripe fruit gives off. Kids would be attracted to ripe fruit, because those are food.
